Multi-purpose Recreational Centre for the citizens of Thorold and surrounding areas.

Information Guidlines

Eligibility: all items must be handcrafted - NO BUY & SELL! Items unacceptable include imported or commercially manufactured goods and bazaar items. Artisans must not resort to “hard selling”, or displaying “reduced price” and “sale” signs. You are also responsible for the collection and reporting of all applicable sales taxes. Any exhibitor intending to sell or give away food to the public must be identified to the local Public Health Department Inspection Division of the Regional Municipality of Niagara prior to the Show and comply with their Guidelines for Indoor / Outdoor Food Service. Application Deadline: The first Application deadline is March 15th (cheques can be dated up to April 15th). Applications received after this date, will be accepted according to space and category availability. If you receive this Application after March 15th, we still encourage you to apply. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance on an ongoing basis. A cheque or money order made payable to “Thorold Arts & Crafts Show” should be dated on or before April 15th, 2009. If sending your application package after April 15th - please enclose a certified cheque or money order payable to "Thorold arts & Crafts Show". Decisions of the Selection Committee are final.

Submission of Photos: New applicants must include a minimum of five current photos of the work you intend to sell at the Show, plus a photograph of your over-all booth display. It is critical that the photographs you submit are of good quality. Please provide a stamped, self addressed envelop (for return of photos). This return envelope should be large enough to hold your initial application entry. Resumes and other support materials are optional.

Space Assignments: Please keep all exhibits safe and free of hazards at all times. No lit candles are allowed at any time.

INSIDE Booth space sizes are: 15’ x 10’, 10’ x 10’ and 8’ x 6’ and multiples thereof. Each Artisan must provide their own equipment such as a tent / canopy (for display purpose), chairs, *tables, display stands, racks etc. *Table rentals are available - please check off this request on the Application form. Canopy tops are not recommended. Carpeting or anti-stress mats are recommended for the arena floor. Please use fire-retardent tablecloths & carpet within each exhibit There are a limited number of spaces available with hydro - if granted, a fee of $35. will be collected the weekend of the show.

OUTSIDE There are a few outdoor booth spaces available in front of the arena (on grass). Sizes are: 15’ x 10’, and 10’ x 10’.

Set-Up: - You may set up your booth on Friday, May 22nd anytime after 9:00 am until 6:00 pm and Saturday morning starting at 6:00 am - Show begins at 10:00 am.

Security / Liability Insurance: The arena will be secured Friday and Saturday nights. Security is available for outdoor exhibits Friday and Saturday nights, although you can pack and remove your merchandise at the end of each day if you wish.
You are responsible for your own adequate Liability and Property Insurance.

Accommodations: For information regarding local Bed & Breakfast establishments, Hotels, Motels, Campgrounds, University and College accommodations, please check off the appropriate space on the Application Form
